Painting with the Pattern Stamp

Photoshop’s Filter Gallery does an OK job of making a photo look like a painting– but if you really want to turn a photo into a hand-painted piece of art, look no further than the Pattern Stamp Tool. (Image courtesy of PhotoSpin.com)

Step 1

To paint with the Pattern Stamp tool, you need to start by creating a pattern the same size as the image you’re painting. Open your image and go to Edit > Define Pattern. Name the pattern– in this example we’ll go with Red Pepper.
